‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Professor Dalton OUT As Daniel Goddard Exits from GH

‘General Hospital’ spoilers confirm that Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) is out as Daniel Goddard exits from GH.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dalton Finally Got His Comeuppance

Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Daniel Goddard is indeed leaving the soap. A GH spokesperson said,

“We can confirm that Daniel Goddard has exited General Hospital as Professor Henry Dalton.”

Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, said,

“I really enjoyed working with Daniel. It was a short-term role from the start, and we appreciate what a good job Daniel did with it. We wish him all the best in the future.”

In the Wednesday, November 19th episode of GH, we knew Professor Dalton was a goner when he confessed to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that he was conducting illegal experiments on animals.

Emma Drake Scorpio (Braedyn Bruner) had long believed this, and now her worst suspicions have been proven correct.

Animal lovers everywhere and Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) fans were treated to the outcome of Dalton’s karma today when Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) shot and killed Professor Dalton in dramatic, soapy fashion.

It was a fitting end to a very bad man, and someone who framed a child and harmed innocent animals. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was furious with Dalton for framing Rocco.

In the previous episode of GH, Britt told Sidwell that Dalton needed to be dealt with. Dalton was a liability. Of course, in Sidwell speak, that can only mean one solution.

When Dalton arrived at Sidwell’s home at Wyndemere in today’s episode, Sidwell nonchalantly picked up a gun and shot and killed Dalton without a second thought.

The Professor put their cold fusion research at risk, and that was something that Sidwell was not about to tolerate.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Professor Dalton’s Murder Sets the Stage For Some Soapy Drama Ahead

Dalton’s murder sets the stage for some major soapy fallout ahead. Henry’s karma finally caught up with him as he was violently eliminated.

Goddard’s limited run on GH reminded soap fans of his talent as an actor. He previously played Cane Ashby on Y&R, a role now played by former Days of Our Lives actor, Billy Flynn.

We also had the chance to see Goddard play opposite his former on-screen Y&R mother, Genie Francis, who, of course, plays Laura Collins.

It was interesting to see their new dynamic play out on GH as Professor Dalton was the man who framed Laura’s grandson, Rocco, for destroying valuable lab research.

Rocco is caught by Dalton

Dalton’s death will bring even more drama to the already complicated storyline involving several key players.

We have to wonder whether Joss will share with Emma that she was 100 percent right about Professor Dalton testing on animals.

Britt was shocked that Sidwell casually pulled the trigger on Dalton, and we can’t wait to see what happens next. We still don’t know how Rocco’s legal trouble will play out. Maybe Britt can help the teens

Braedyn Bruner had some kind words to say about Goddard. She told Soap Opera Digest,

“I knew immediately from our first rehearsal how seasoned this man was.”

She continued,

“He just came in with so much confidence and charm. It was perfect for the character, but he’s just incredibly natural and a grounded performer and a great guy to boot.”

While we honestly feel that Professor Dalton got what he deserved, we wish Goddard nothing but the best in his personal and professional life.
