Explosive first look at Emmerdale and Coronation Street ‘Corriedale’ crossover
An explosive trailer gives viewers a first look at Corriedale, ITV’s crossover soap episode.
A multi-vehicle pileup has been revealed as the centre of the drama when Coronation Street and Emmerdale‘s worlds collide.
Corrie stars Jack P Shepherd and Kate Ford, and Emmerdale actors Johnny McPherson, Danny Miller, and Vicky Myers are among the cast of the one-hour episode.
Corriedale‘s special episode will air in early January 2026.
ITV said the show will be a celebration of the soap genre for the launch of their new “soap power hour” scheduling pattern for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
Jason Donovan hoping for more TV work following Emmerdale cameo
Jason Donovan wants to star in more TV dramas.
The 57-year-old actor is still buzzing from making a cameo appearance in ITV’s Emmerdale, and that opportunity has made him hungry for more roles on the box.
Jason told the new issue of Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “I feel I’ve got a little bit more to give, artistically.”
On Emmerdale this Christmas, he will perform his 1989 smash-hit Too Many Broken Hearts to a packed-out Woolpack – the soap’s iconic pub – to surprise his big fan, Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick).
And Jason – who shot his scenes a few months ago – loved returning to his soap roots.
The star – who played Scott Robinson in over 400 episodes of the Australian soap Neighbours between 1986 and 1989 – said: “There’s a character called Lydia who’s a big Jason Donovan fan, and I end up singing at the Woolpack.
“It was a great day filming.”
In a press release, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw added of Jason’s cameo appearance: “We were delighted that Jason agreed to join us for this episode.
“Not only is Lydia Dingle a big fan of his, there was a real buzz on set that day.
“I hope the viewers enjoy his cameo as much as the Emmerdale family did.”

The RSVP hitmaker met his wife, Angela Malloch, on the London leg of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when she worked as a stage manager, and he played Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
The couple got married in 2008 in Bali, and they went on to have three children – actress Jemma, 25, TV producer Zac, 24, and 14 year old Molly.
And Jason says spending time with family is more important than his work.
In his interview with HELLO! magazine, he said: “Work is important but so is time to enjoy [life], watch the sunlight, spend time with people rather than constantly moving forward.”
Despite the Especially For You singer learning how to parent teenagers, Jason feels he still has not cracked parenthood.
He explained: “I think soft diplomacy is always the way. If you’re too strict with your kids, they rebel. If you’re asking whether I’ve worked out parenthood, I haven’t.
“It’s a long-distance run, not a sprint. It’s a great journey.”
