Emmerdale fans predict icon’s exit after crucial mistake and Chas will be upset
Emmerdale has hinted at the departure of Kev Townsend following his recent involvement in an armed robbery, although fans are sceptical about him facing jail time.
As regular viewers of the ITV soap will know, Kev (played by Chris Coghill) arrived in the village with hopes of reigniting his relationship with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). However, it quickly became apparent that their romance was not meant to be, as Robert began a clandestine affair with his ex-husband, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Kev has been deceiving Robert into thinking he is both wealthy and terminally ill, in a desperate attempt to keep him close. The former convict also carried out an armed robbery to maintain his financial facade and provide Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) with funds for their farming venture.
On Tuesday (25 November), Robert and Aaron hatched a plan to report Kev to the police and have him returned to prison, allowing them to live together peacefully.
Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) discovered her son Aaron and Robert’s secret relationship and warned them of the potential danger should Kev find out, reports the Daily Star.

Robert soon admitted their reunion and informed Chas of their plot to turn Kev into the authorities. However, their conversation was abruptly interrupted by Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) with alarming news.
The doctor confessed that Kev had manipulated him into acting as his getaway driver post-robbery, meaning he too could face charges if Kev is reported to the police.
Dr Liam Cavanagh also dropped the revelation that Kev’s illness wasn’t terminal and he isn’t dying. The disclosure left Aaron Dingle gobsmacked, whilst Robert Sugden was reeling.

In an attempt to locate Kev’s secret cache of money and stolen items, Aaron began tailing him around the village shortly after and observed as he made his way into the church.
It emerged that Kev was concealing the stolen items inside the church, and Aaron immediately recognised there was sufficient proof to demonstrate Kev was guilty.
Nevertheless, sharp-eyed Emmerdale viewers quickly highlighted that Aaron had now handled the stolen goods without wearing gloves and could now be a suspect in the armed robbery. Will Kev pin the blame on Aaron for the crime and have him sent down?

A second stated: “As if you’d root through a bag of SWAG with your bare hands ffs #Emmerdale.”
A third chimed in: “Would be hilarious if Aaron gets done for it #Emmerdale (laughing face).”
While one fan asked: “AARON WHY DID YOU TOUCH IT? #Emmerdale.”
“So that makes Aaron’s fingerprints on Kev’s loot. And Robert already touched it when he found out. They really are stupid #emmerdale,” pointed out another.
