Emmerdale Celia’s true identity confirmed as secret son revealed with ‘more drama to come’
Emmerdale aired a huge twist involving Celia Daniels on Thursday’s episode
Emmerdale fans were left gobsmacked on Thursday’s episode as Celia Daniels’ true identity was revealed.
Celia, played by Jaye Griffiths, joined the ITV soap earlier this year as a farmer enquiring about renting some of Moira Dingle’s land. However, Celia’s true colours started to show when she deceived Moira and her guard dog attacked vet Paddy Kirk.
And now more of Celia’s mysterious past has been revealed on Thursday’s episode as she was revealed to be the mastermind behind the recent village drugs gang.
In one shocking scene, Celia abandoned her compassion and violently slapped April Windsor before ominously warning the youngster about the rules and consequences of her monumental stupidity, threatening her life if she didn’t lie to the police about how she obtained the drugs.
Elsewhere, it was revealed that drug dealer Ray Walters, who was thought to have been in charge of the drugs operation, was actually taking orders from Celia.
In one telling scene, Ray, played by Joe Absolom, was seen reduced to a cowering wreck in front of the woman he calls ‘mum’, clearly illustrating Celia’s absolute control over the villain and the drugs operation.
The hit ITV soap has teased: “We know this woman, Celia, is not to be messed with and we now fear for April and Dylan who are navigating paying off their debts with their pay masters.
“Lying to those that care about them to keep them off the scent, trapped in county lines drug dealing, a form of modern slavery and we fear for their futures.”
Meanwhile, Celia star Jaye, 62, explained of the storyline and twist: “At last the audience have seen the familial link between her and Ray and the fact she is the mastermind behind it all.
“There is lots more drama to come but I feel that the context of the whole operation is now apparent and so the audience will now be fearing how trapped these kids are as it’s very clear Celia and Ray are not beginners at this.”
