When is Jason Donovan in Emmerdale? Aussie legend set to perform on ITV soap in special appearance
Jason will be seen on screen in scene set to air on the week beginning Monday, December 8, thrilling fans of the ITV soap. Details have also been released of just why the former Neighbours star will be dropping into the Woolpack.
His special appearance on this week’s episodes of Emmerdale will come as Kim (Claire King) organises a surprise for Lydia (Karen Blick).

Lydia has been left questioning her relationship with Kim after the Home Farm owner gave a stingy donation to the raffle. After Sam stands up to Joe and quits his job, Lydia begs him to get his job back Joe refuses and while Kim intervenes, Lydia is left less than impressed with her brushing off Joe’s treatment of her husband.
In retaliation, Lydia agrees to distract Kim while Sam arrangesa dodgy shoot on Home Farm land to raise some much-needed cash. However, little does she know that Kim has organised a huge surprise for her at the Woolpack.
Upn arrive at the village pub, she will be greeted by Jason Donovan, who has arrived in Emmerdale for a private concert. As a superfan of the star, Lydia is beside herself with the special concert and Jason will be seen performing his legendary 80s hit Too Many Broken Hearts.
Earlier this month, Jason opened up about his stint on Emmerdale. He said: “I’m incredibly excited to have been asked to make a cameo appearance in Emmerdale as myself.
“Filming was great fun and all of the cast and crew were extremely welcoming. Singing in the Woolpack set was definitely an experience I won’t forget.”
He also revealed to Lorraine: “I filmed it a few months back. The cast were incredible, the production team were amazing.”
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw added: “We were delighted that Jason agreed to join us for this episode. Not only is Lydia Dingle a big fan of his, there was a real buzz on set that day. I hope the viewers enjoy his cameo as much as the Emmerdale family did.”
