That’s hardly surprising in daytime drama, where couples always find a way back to each other, no matter how many times they split. Yet this moment feels like the end of Claire’s overly sweet, Pollyanna-like phase.
After breaking free from her manipulative Aunt Jordan and jumping into a romance with Kyle, Claire has swung from a dangerous schemer to someone almost too innocent for our taste. She admitted to Kyle that she went straight from her aunt’s control into a whirlwind relationship without a chance to breathe or make mistakes of her own.
Enter Holden! Claire clearly has a stronger connection with him than with Kyle, and fans aren’t upset that she quickly reached out to see if his Los Angeles invitation still stood.
