Michael Baldwin Can’t Resist the Pull
Retirement has never sat well with Michael Baldwin. Despite Lauren’s warnings, the once high-powered attorney is restless and itching for something to keep him busy. Even though Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) cut him loose, Michael vowed to fight back in his own way.
Now, with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) working together, Michael may be tempted to jump back into the fray even if it risks his marriage. Lauren knows her husband all too well and fears his inability to let go of the fight.
Lauren Turns to Nikki for Help
Desperate to protect her husband from himself, Lauren makes a surprising move. She reaches out to Nikki Newman for help a woman who has often found herself siding with Victor rather than against him. This time, however, Lauren’s “massive request” could test loyalties and spark new tensions in Genoa City.
Claire’s Dangerous “Adventure”
Elsewhere, Claire Newman is eager to escape her heartbreak and dive into something new with Holden Novak. She calls their trip an adventure, but Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki remain uneasy about Holden’s influence.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) once admitted that Holden’s thrill-seeking behavior was too much for her but was she talking about skydiving, or something far more dangerous? Whatever the case, Claire may be in over her head.
Fans already know that Victoria will end up in Los Angeles alongside her daughter, while Sharon and Nick make their own trip to visit Noah. That means Claire’s “vacation” could be a turning point leading to an even bigger storyline this fall.
Victor and Jack’s Alliance
Meanwhile, Victor and Jack continue their fragile alliance against Cane. Nikki worries that Victor’s partnership may not last and she may be right. While Jack is invested in their temporary truce, Victor has a long history of using alliances as weapons when it benefits him most. Could Jack be the next one caught in Victor’s crosshairs?
