2026 might be Yellowstone’s wildest ride yet

The Yellowstone universe refuses to ride quietly into the sunset. After last year’s gut-wrenching finale, fans have been desperate for more Dutton drama—and now they’re getting it. Two new spinoffs are officially in the works, putting fiery Beth Dutton and her steady brother Kayce back at the center of the action. With Paramount and CBS both on board, 2026 is shaping up to be the franchise’s biggest year yet.

Beth and Rip’s Next Chapter

Kelly Reilly’s sharp-tongued Beth Dutton will headline The Dutton Ranch, a new Paramount+ series. She reunites with Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler as the couple defends their 7,000-acre spread near Dillon, Montana. Finn Little returns as their adopted son Carter, with the family facing down rivals who see opportunity in their hard-won land.

The cast adds major star power. Annette Bening joins as Texas ranch boss Beulah Jackson, a rival with charm and menace. Ed Harris plays a kind-hearted vet whose presence could complicate loyalties, while Jai Courtney also signs on in a still-secret role. Chad Feehan will serve as showrunner, with Taylor Sheridan producing. The series is expected to premiere on Paramount+ sometime in 2026.

Kayce’s Law-and-Order Shift

Luke Grimes steps back into Kayce Dutton’s boots for Y: Marshals, a CBS drama with a weekly procedural edge. After selling the Yellowstone ranch back to the Broken Rock tribe, Kayce now serves as part of an elite U.S. Marshals unit. The show blends his Navy SEAL background with his cowboy instincts, delivering frontier justice on a national stage.

Brecken Merrill returns as Tate, grounding Kayce’s story with family stakes, while Kelsey Asbille reprises Monica. Familiar faces Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater) and Mo Brings Plenty (Mo) also return, alongside new cast members Arielle Kebbel, Tatanka Means, Ash Santos, and Logan Marshall-Green. Spencer Hudnut (SEAL Team) serves as showrunner. The series will air Sundays on CBS in spring 2026, with episodes streaming on Paramount+ afterward.

Expanding the Yellowstone Universe

The slate doesn’t stop there. Sheridan is also developing The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox, a modern drama tied to the franchise’s present timeline. Meanwhile, prequel 1944 will explore the Duttons during World War II. Crossovers are already being teased, raising the possibility of Beth showing up in Kayce’s manhunt or Rip lending backup to the Marshals.

Why the Duttons Endure

Yellowstone has always thrived on raw stakes, whether whispered betrayals or explosive showdowns. Beth’s unfiltered fire and Kayce’s quiet intensity made them breakout fan favorites, and their new spinoffs promise to push those traits even further. Expect more feuds, more heartbreak, and more Montana grit.

The ranch may have changed hands, but the Dutton legacy isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it’s only growing.
